This is the final lesson in the unit "Human Impact on Narragansett Bay". In this lesson, students will be given the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learning through out this unit. Students will present to the class their informational brochures. They will also take a unit test for the second half of the period.

Define and identify various ways in which humans have impacted the bay
Recall topics discussed in this unit and discuss them on the exam.
Level 2
Summarize various topics discussed in class and present them to class through presentation of informational brochure.
Prerequisite Knowledge
Students should have had experience with several issues in ecology. They should have a grasp on the following topics:
Food webs and energy transfer through the food web
Endemic species in Narragansett Bay
Invasive species
Various ways in which humans alter the environment, leading to habitat destruction
Sources and types of pollution
Greenhouse effect
Global warming and it's impacts
Plans for Differentiating Instruction
Students will be assessed for this unit in a variety of methods. They will create visual presentations, with written information on them as well as take a unit test to evaluate their mastery of the content.
Accommodations and modifications
Student A: Accommodation needed for writing skills and comprehension of directions. Explicit instructions and verbal directions will also be given to check for understanding. Accommodation can be offered to all students.
Other accommodations or modifications will be made according to IEP protocol.
